A hoax is a deliberate attempt to deceive or trick an audience into believing, or accepting, that something is real, when the hoaxster knows it is not; or that something is true, when it is false. In an instance of a hoax, an object, or event, is not what it appears to be, or what it is claimed to be.Unlike a fraud or con (which is usually aimed at a single victim and are made for illicit financial or material gain), a hoax is often perpetrated as a practical joke, to cause embarrassment, or to provoke social change by making people aware of something.
- Look for a picture that you think it's a hoax.
- Comment and give your personal opinion about it.

About Oral Test 1

Follow these tips to improve your speaking skills for the test:
- Check the Pronunciation Buster exercises at the back of your book.
- Make a list of the new vocabulary and expressions of each unit and repeat them.
- Make sentences with such words to make sure that you know how to use them appropriately. (Remember that one of the points tested in your exam is the use of expressions.)
- Prepare answers to the conversation questions of each unit, as those are the models to follow for the use of expressions.
